Week 16

Your Baby: Week 16 Watch what you say... tiny bones forming in baby's ears mean the little one can now pick up your voice. Eyebrows, lashes and hair are starting to fill in, and taste buds are forming. And, if you're interested, an ultrasound might be able to determine gender.  According to "What to Expect": Tiny bones in your fetus's ears are in place this week, making it likely that the baby can hear your voice when you're speaking (or singing in the shower)at 16 weeks pregnant . In fact, studies have found that babies who are sung to while they're in the womb recognize the same tune when it's sung to them after they are born (so choose your baby Muzak with that in mind…). Let's talk Details.... How far along: Don't you read it? 16 weeks Total weight gain:   Have no clue Maternity clothes: I got little black swimming dress with tiny blue flowers from DKNY, not maternity, size 14... Aha - I'll swim in a dress. I also realized that ...

Oranges are sweet!!!

Your Baby: Week 15 Continuing the march towards normal proportions, baby's legs now outmeasure the arms. And, finally, all four limbs have functional joints. Your fetus is squirming and wiggling like crazy down in the womb, though you probably still can't feel the movements.  RUS: По мнению авторитетных  изданий, начиная уже с 14 недели, можно почувствовать, как Карапуз начинает развивать свою мускулатуру. Вот что пишут по этому поводу в книжках:  ENGL:    - Many women describe the feelings of movement as a "gas bubble" or "fluttering." Often, it's something you have noticed for a few days or more, but you didn't realize what you were feeling. Then you realize that you were feeling the baby move inside you! - The first momentous sensation of life, of "quickening," can occur anywhere between the 14th and 26th weeks, but generally closer to the average of the 18th and 22nd week. A woman who's had a baby before is likely to recognize mo...

Week 14 - Second Trimester!!! Yeah!!

Your Baby: Week 14 Your adorable little fetus is busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling, and (not so cute but equally amazing) making urine and breathing amniotic fluid as the liver, kidneys and spleen continue to develop. Lanugo (thin, downy hair) is growing all over the body for warmth.

Let's talk details. Блиц-опрос "Ничего Личного"

How far along: 14 weeks Total weight gain: + 0.5 pound Maternity clothes: Jeans - one pair, makes me very proud for not ordering 5 or 10. Stretch marks: Nope. Was advised and bought french lotion called Mustela,  hope don't need it. Main symptoms: Gases, reflux, growing belly. Exercise: Went to the swimming pool once... last week. Shame on me. Best moment this week: Just realized that my energy is back. Movement: Not yet. Food cravings: Food, different kinds. Gender: No clue... Looking for your guesses! Labor signs: None. Belly button in or out? In What I miss: Nothing really. Don't like sushi anymore, but there is nothing else to miss. What I am looking forward to: Having a cute obviously pregnant belly so that I can start wearing sexy outfits. Weekly wisdom: Relax... Milestones: Realized that it's going to be very time consuming to find the right products (like furniture, toys, car seat, stroller) for Karapuz. So we better start early.

NT Scan

13 Weeks Update

Your Baby: Week 13 Your fetus is forming teeth and vocal cords... savor this, their non-functional phase. Baby is approaching normal proportions, with a head now only one third the size of the body. Intestines are in the process of moving from the umbilical cord to baby's tummy. (Much more convenient.)

B-day Trip

Week 12 Update

Your Baby: Week 12 " Your baby has more than doubled in size during the past three weeks, weighting in now at 1/2 ounce and measuring (crown to rump) about 21/2 inches. About the size of a large fresh plum, your baby's body is hard at work in the development department. Though most of his or her systems are fully formed, there is still plenty of maturing to do. The digestive system is beginning to practice contraction movements (so your baby will be able to eat), the bone marrow is making white blood cells (so your baby will be able to fight off all those germs passed around the playgroup), and the pituitary gland at the base of the brain has started producing hormones (so your baby will one day be able to make babies of his or her own)." And now - pictures time!!! Finger tastes good:-) Chill-out!!!....
